The dream came true last week for Democratic Reps. Frank Pallone of Monmouth County, Rush Holt of Mercer County and Donald Payne of Essex County , and Republican Scott Garrett of Bergen County , all of whom voted against the 11th-hour debt ceiling/deficit-reduction package to avert defaulting on the nation’s debt obligations.
Once the compromise was announced by President Obama and the respective party leaders in the House and Senate, it was a foregone conclusion it would win congressional approval rather handily, freeing the four and other like-minded individuals to dissent without repercussion.
None of the three Democrats will be accused of deserting the president and, in all likelihood, will be eager to share the ballot with him and campaign as a part of his team in the 2012 elections. Obama continues to enjoy significant support in New Jersey, polling several points above his national numbers, and — in the early going, at least — runs comfortably ahead of potential Republican challengers here.

Has anyone used Halo Group Inc. for credit help or debt reduction?
I'm thinking about turning over my large debts owed to them. I just really need to know how reputable they are and if they have helped anyone out there other than the testimonials they have posted at their website.
My "large debt" is thirty thousand and I have worked out payment plan arrangements with most of them. However, the debt to income ratio leaves me with very little and not enough to pay rent or buy basic nessecities. I know I would have to pay them a percent but can they really help get things reduced even more than I was able to?

Where can I find debt reduction advice for a single adult?
Every group, website, etc I find about budgeting circles around a family of 4 or more. I am a single 27 yr old splitting a 2BR apt w/a roommate. Where can I find budget advice? Not investment advice as I do not earn enough to save. I'm barely surviving and need advice on buying for less, getting out of post-college debt, affording professional clothing, keeping positive equity in my car, grocery shopping for 2, etc. I am capable of making a list-style budget of what I owe v. what I earn. I am never behind on payments. I would like advice on cutting grocery costs for ONE, finding clothing deals for ONE, pricing cheaper auto insurance for ONE, lowering utility bills, etc so that I can increase my remaining budget after paying bills &/or have more to apply towards reducing debt. Every blog/group I find online always target families.
