Chisholm Trail Parkway traffic and revenue forecasts lowered Fort Worth Star Telegram

PLANO -- The North Texas Tollway Authority is ready to move forward with financing the $1.6 billion Chisholm Trail Parkway project in October, despite new projections that indicate that traffic and revenue will be much lower than officials originally forecast. Agency officials received the revamped revenue projections Thursday, the same day they discussed asking the Texas Department of Transportation to waive a requirement that a federally required environmental study be completed before it agrees to use taxpayer funds as collateral on the project's debt. Despite these potential financial roadblocks for the 28-mile tollway from downtown Fort Worth to Cleburne, officials remained optimistic and said acting now -- including issuing $616 million in bonds -- will save about $171 million because of lower interest rates. The project has already been delayed seven months as tollway officials scramble to get the financing

Need a knowledgeable debt consolidation attorney in the Plano, Texas area?

I have about five to six unsecured debts [no credit cards] that i need to consolidate and make one payment or like. Bankruptcy is not an option for me. The total is around $10K. I am not interested in debt consolidation agencies, so far the ones i have talked to, i know more what to do than them...I can make monthly payments toward the debt and also pay reasonable fees and/or % of satisfactory arrangements. Anyone knows a serious, good attorney in the areas that i can contact for a free consultation. Thank you
Mr Gerald, with replies like yours no wonder you have so many answers....I am retired, disabled, soc sec, and yes i still work, as allowed...so your easy out is poor at best....thanks

Debt consolidation is an option, and you should look into it. Just be careful about WHAT you're getting into. Some plans, because of their higher APR rates get you into more trouble than you were.

Also, some lenders look poorly upon it later on. Some institutions believe that it really is a black mark. It will depend upon the types of deals that your particular company or lender work out, and of course, your own individual circumstance. For some with absolutely NO way out, debt consolidation is a welcome option.

Take a good hard look at all the options and plans offered, and don't let a single company pressure you into something you just can't do. Make sure that you're comfortable with the plan offered before you commit to it.

In any case, it doesn't hurt to investigate debt consolidation as an option. It doesn't cost you anything to find out more information about it.

If you want a place to start your investigating, there's information and listings for debt consolidation providers on the page listed below. You'll probably find something of use there:

I live in Texas and would like to know of a good company to assist me with debt consolidation.?

Most of my bills are medical bills.

Anyone know of a good debt consolidation company in or around Austin, Texas?

DON'T do debt consolidation. It just moves your debt around. It rolls high interest items AND LOW interest items into the same loan at a mid-range interest rate. It might lower your monthly payments, but that means it will take even LONGER to get out of debt.

You don't need anyone to do it for you. All they do is negotiate your debts for you and collect a fee. You can do it yourself!

Call all of them and work out a payment plan and try to get your interest lowered or stopped.

Then, make the minimum payments on every one of them. On the lowest dollar value, put all your extra effort toward paying it off. Once it is paid off, then roll that extra money to the next largest balance. Continue this snowball until all your debts are paid off.

You probably need to cut your expenses back to the bare minimum. Get rid of cable, cell phones, internet, etc. Lower your electric bill, gas bill, water bill, etc. Don't eat at a restaurant until your debts are under control. Take a sandwich for lunch. Cancel the gym membership.

Try to increase your income by getting a second job. If you have a car with payments, get rid of it, and buy a good dependable used car for CASH.

Go to the library and get "The Total Money Makeover". Read it and follow it carefully.
