The Parking Enforcement Unit would be my start, followed quickly by the other tax collection agency called Traffic Services. With today’s camera technology there’s no need for speed traps or fishing holes anymore.
The real speeders or parking abusers can be caught! But thanks to high spending politicians, many legitimate police units have been highjacked into deficit-financing-squads for inept governments.
Reducing is not a pleasant task. Others have trimming ideas ranging from the marine, transit or mounted units. Also, instead of protecting them at all costs, police should fire dirty cops or the ones who beat up the homeless. If you get convicted with a serious offence, you can’t be a cop.
